🌾 Back to the Lodge – Full Circle Healing 🌾 By Christine | @healthyniishways Sometimes, you have to go back to the place that once held your broken pieces — just to see how beautifully you’ve put yourself back together. The last time I stood at the Dan Pine Healing Lodge in Garden River First Nation was in 2009. I was a young mother, exhausted and carrying more pain than words could hold. Life had broken me open — the kind of heartbreak that forces you to face yourself, ready or not. I remember walking up to that Lodge, angry and lost, searching for something I couldn’t name. I prayed. I cried. I sat with my ancestors in silence, and I sweated out the pain in that sacred circle. That’s also where I received my Native name — Woman Who Walks with White Feathers. In Ojibwe (ceremonial form), I carry it as Ikwe Waabishkigaabo Bineshiiyens. I hold this name with pride and humility as a member of the Makwa (Bear) Clan — the healers, protectors, and guardians of our people...
